Now it's finally time for one of the absolute highlights of the year at Vasatorp - Vase week! 🎉
It is fantastic to see the great interest in this year's competitions. Almost all competitions are fully booked and several also have long reserve lists. Thank you for your great commitment - it sets the stage for a fantastic competition week with wonderful golf, great meetings and a lot of community. 💚

To make the week as good as possible, we want to send you a few things that will help us create the experience we all want.

👏 The prize giving is part of the competition

We fully understand that the competition days can sometimes be long. At the same time, we hope that all participants stay for the awards ceremony in their class.
On a couple of occasions earlier this year, we have had to call out prize winners who have already left the club. It can be a bit of a hassle – both for the winner, for our sponsors who have invested time, commitment and resources into the competition, and for everyone who has been involved in creating a great competition day.
To make the wait as short as possible, we will hold a prize giving ceremony after each class.

🏆 Winning a competition is worth a proper round of applause. It's much more fun to step forward in front of your fellow players than in front of the small crowd that happened to be left behind. At Vasatorp we compete against each other out on the track – but we applaud each other afterwards.

🎤 Winner's acceptance speech

The winner in each class is welcome to say a few words. It doesn't have to be long – a few sentences will do.
You may want to thank your fellow players, the course staff who created the fantastic conditions, our sponsors and the competition management. For many, speaking in front of others feels unfamiliar, but it is also a great opportunity to show appreciation and contribute to the community that makes our competitions special.

📖 Check the competition rules

Before each competition, the player is responsible for reading the applicable competition rules. If there is anything you are unsure about, just ask the competition management before the start - we are happy to help.

📝 Reserve list and cancellations

The great interest also means that several competitions have long reserve lists.
If you are a reserve and do not receive a place in the competition, your entry fee will be refunded shortly after the competition has been held.
However, if you have been awarded a place in the competition and cancel your registration after the start list has been published, the entry fee will not be automatically refunded. For example, in the event of illness, the competition management may decide to refund, while other reasons normally do not justify it. In this way, we ensure fair treatment for both participants and reserves.

🍽️ Enjoy Vasa Week

When the round is over, we hope you'll want to stay a while. Take a seat in the restaurant, enjoy a delicious meal or drink, and talk through the day's round with your fellow players. Also, feel free to visit the shop if you need to stock up on the last few items for the next competition. 🛍️
The Vasa Week is so much more than just the results. It's the meetings, the conversations, the applause and the community that make the week the highlight of the year.
