Distinction (Committee procedure 5.A6)
In stroke play with handicaps, the distinction is made according to 1. The handicap method, 2. The mathematical method, 3. The draw. In stroke play without handicaps, the winner is determined in the event of a tie through a hole-by-hole playoff (CC 1, 2, 3, 18; TC 1, 17, 18) unless otherwise stated in the competition conditions for the specific competition. Other placings in stroke play without handicaps are made according to the mathematical method.
Scorecard Submission (Rule 3.3b)
Unless otherwise stipulated in the conditions for a competition, the scorecard must be submitted to the competition office or other communicated location. The scorecard is submitted when the player has left the Scoring area.
Digital score input
In competitions where digital score entry is used, all players (or one representative per team in team competitions) check in and be checked off by the competition management before starting. After completing the round, the player is responsible for personally going to the competition office and ensuring that the score is correctly registered.
If the player does not follow the procedure, the competition management may take action according to the competition's regulations.
