⛳ New slope tables from August 1st – Classic Course & TC 🎉

At last! Our paths have become newly valued – something that should be done regularly according to the Swedish Golf Association's guidelines. This time, however, it has taken a long time due to The union has introduced a new digital way of working., which led to delays throughout the country. But now it's clear – and from 1 augusti new slope tables apply for both Classic Course and TC.

🆕 What's new?

  • New course evaluation = updated slope tables 📊
  • Tee 42 on the Classic Course – a brand new tee, valued for ladies 👩‍🦰
  • Tee 54 at TC – a combination of existing tees

🤔 Why has the sloop changed?

The course rating system takes a lot into account and is quite complex. The new rating is supposed to be more accurate and fair and a new way of calculating has been used now than before. Several of you players will see a change in shcp and we explain below why this is the case. Below is nothing you players need to think about but more information for you about how the slope has been developed.
Here are some of the biggest changes – simplified:

  • 🌬️ Find is now counted as a general factor, not hole by hole.
  • 💧 Water hazards and extreme rough no longer gives "double points" in the course evaluation - now only for one thing.
  • (I.e. New guidelines in the rulebook for course evaluation has moved certain limit values.
  • 📏 Previously, only two tees were measured and the rest adjusted – which did not take into account that hazards are sometimes not in play from shorter tees. This especially affects men who play further forward.
  • ⏱️ Many courses have reduced extreme rough to speed up the game – which also affects the slope.

🎯 What does it mean to you?

You can get one new game handicap from some tees – both higher and lower than before. This is completely normal and reflects a fairer assessment of the course's difficulty.
