We are now introducing a marshal role at the club, starting immediately. Marshals will patrol the courts after reception closes and have several important tasks:
🔹 Preventing illegal gambling – i.e. gambling without a booked time or payment
🔹 Identify incorrect use of golf ID
🔹 Ensure that the game pace is maintained and that all players have a positive experience
🔹 Be a support for you as a player if you have questions or need help
We are not alone in experiencing these challenges – several clubs in the region work closely together to combat irregularities and create a safe golfing environment.
📲 News: Digital membership card being tested
Four club managers, in collaboration with our IT supplier Kusit-IT, have developed a digital membership card that is now being tested in a pilot project starting next week.
We took the initiative because we currently lack the system support required to meet the need we see growing in Golf Sweden - to be able to identify players on the course in a simple and secure way.
The card includes, among other things:
🔹 Name
🔹 Type of membership
🔹 Photo
🔹 Golf ID
The card is only active for players with a valid membership in their home club. You simply log in via our website with your golf ID. Once we have learned the system ourselves, we will inform you what you need to do.
This is a first step towards a fairer and safer golf environment, and we see great potential in developing the card further for more functions within the club. 🙌
📌 Reminder: Excerpt from the Rules of Procedure at Vasatorp
To ensure that everyone has the best golf experience possible, we would like to remind you of some of our rules:
🔹 Range balls may only be used on the range – not on practice areas or the course
🔹 Put the bucket back after your workout.
🔹 Start at your booked time
🔹 Cancel your appointment if you don't plan to play
🔹 Register on arrival before the game
🔹 Repair impact marks – preferably an extra one!
🔹 Rake the bunker after you. Period.
We have Waste areas at Vasatorp and as you know, there are different rules that apply in those areas. It is not an area where you rake, however we ask you to smooth over your deep tracks from feet and blows. We are currently looking at how we will manage those areas in the future for the best possible playing experience.
⚠️ Consequences of violating rules of order
We have updated the information regarding the consequences of violating the rules of order. We are investigating the possibility of introducing fines for certain violations.
🔹 Unrepaired impact marks/bunker raking: Reminder.
🔹 Disruptive behavior (e.g. throwing clubs, aggressiveness): Talk to management and possible suspension.
⚠️ More serious offenses, regulated in the club's statutes
🔹 Games without paid green fees: Notice, immediate payment of current green fee + 1000 SEK in additional fee. The player risks suspension from Vasatorp for a limited time.
🔹 Games with incorrect golf ID: Report to home club, immediate payment of current green fee, and suspension from Vasatorp. Police report may be required. Members who use the wrong golf ID will receive a warning and risk being excluded from the club in accordance with the club's bylaws.
🔹 Golf ID lending: Non-member of Vasatorp: At least two weeks of suspension and possible report to the legal committee in Skåne Golf Association. Members who lend their golf ID first receive a warning and then risk being expelled from the club. in accordance with the club's bylaws.
