Jonas Lindström

Chairperson

What is your role on the board? Chairman of Vasatorps Golf Club and Vasatorps Golf AB.

What do you do on a daily basis? Education in HR and finance. Previously worked as a leader in a couple of different industries. Today I work as a specialist in work environment/health and change processes.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? Raised in Vasatorp as a little boy, has been a member for almost 40 years. He has played golf at both amateur and professional levels. Won Swedish Championship gold with Vasatorp. Loves golf and still tries to be as good as I can. Has a teenager and partner who have found the same love for the sport. Vasatorp is our second home!

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: When I was 12, I won a viewership competition and got to go up to Stockholm and be on SVT's classic Lilla sportspegeln. I missed all the balls, but I got my "15 minutes of fame" and was a lucky guy.

What is your role on the board? Vice President and Sports/Sports Affairs.

What do you do on a daily basis? Commercial manager at a SaaS company (software company) within the Visma Group.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? I moved to Skåne in 2000 to start at RiG (then in Perstorp) shortly afterwards the family moved after and I then became a member at Vasatorp. Junior national team, college and a short stay as a professional but unfortunately had to end my golf career early due to injury. I think golf is the world's best sport, fitness and social meeting place. Today I have a 10-year-old in the junior/boys' activities.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: Besides golf, I have a big Rögle heart and follow the SHL season closely. I have a passionate hockey mood according to my husband (the exact opposite of my usually calm and collected personality).

What is your role on the board? Finance

What is your background? I have a background as a controller, CFO and CEO for various companies abroad and in Sweden. Today I am an active retiree.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? Started playing golf in the mid-90s and 30 years later it's just as fun and I'm just as bad.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: Played the lead role in two radio plays that were broadcast on SR in the early 70s. Fortunately, they cannot be found in any archives...

What is your role on the board? Responsible for branding, marketing and communication.

What do you do on a daily basis? Marketing Manager at Skandia Fastigheter Väla and Nova in Lund.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? I started playing golf just before I turned 40 and my interest in golf has only grown stronger over the years. A former manager presented the perfection of golf to me and introduced me to the wonderful soul of Vasatorp.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: I have dived with one of the world's most dangerous sharks but have now unfortunately put my diving career behind me.

What is your role on the board? Focuses on Golf Courses and Practice Areas.

What do you do on a daily basis? Obbar with business development in technology/IT, spent the last 25 years at a large American IT company.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? I have played golf for 35 years and that, along with skiing, is my great passion. I love Vasatorp as we have a wide range of different courses and Sweden's best training areas. I also think that people in the golf industry are generally very nice and open, and this is especially true at our club.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: Took hold of a youth dream in recent years, always wanted to do a season in the Alps which I did last year, not so good for the golf swing but very good for me as a person.

What is your role on the board? Restaurant

What do you do on a daily basis? I have worked in the IT industry for over 30 years in various positions. I ended my career by owning and running three preschools for eight years together with my partner.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp?Started playing golf in 1993 (second attempt) and has one of the highest handicaps on the board.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: The first computer I worked with was an IBM 360/50 with 256 kilobytes of main memory.

What do you do on a daily basis? Works at a business law firm, primarily in stock market law.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp?Started playing golf in 2022 and quickly got hooked – since then there have been many rounds played, not least with family and friends at Vasatorp.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: I have a great interest in English football and have played Fantasy Premier League for many years, where my best ranking is 873rd in the world (out of around 10 million players).

What is your role on the board? Will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of the club's buildings

What do you do on a daily basis? Retired, but still working to a lesser extent.

What is your relationship to golf and Vasatorp? Enthusiastic intermediate golfer. Member for over 20 years.

Tell us a "fun fact" about yourself: Stood 2 steps above Anders Järryd on the podium in the Kalle Anka Cup (Sweden's largest junior tennis competition) in Båstad in 1971. Anders was world number one in doubles for many years. Ranked at best no. 5 in singles, in tough competition from several Swedish tennis players.
