PLAY GOLF WITH CONSIDERATION
Why are we doing this?
At Vasatorp Golf Club we care about our playing surfaces and the environment. We want to raise awareness among our members and guests about the importance of taking care of the golf course. By informing and involving players in course maintenance, we want to create a sustainable and pleasant environment for everyone.
How does this fit in with our sustainability work?
Our sustainability work at Vasatorp Golf Club is about preserving and improving our playing surfaces in a sustainable way. We want to focus on educating players about their responsibilities and how they can contribute to the course's maintenance. Through positive communication and practical tips, we want to reduce the need for prohibition signs and instead encourage active participation in our common endeavor towards sustainability.
Safety on the Golf Course
We at Vasatorp Golf Club are committed to safety on our golf course and strive to create a safe and secure environment for staff and players. To ensure that everyone can enjoy golf without the risk of accidents, it is important to follow some basic safety rules:
- Always shout “Fore” at the slightest risk that your golf ball could hit someone.
- Make sure the game piece in front of you is out of reach before you strike out.
- Make sure no one is within reach. for your swing.
- Never test swing at track workers or other players while you wait for a free playing field.
Our staff always has priority on the golf course and driving range. If staff are on the course, wait for their permission before continuing to play. This is essential to ensure they can carry out their work safely and effectively.
SUSTAINABILITY – SOCIAL
At Vasatorp, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive sports environment for everyone. Through collaborations with Aja Baja Cancer, we help support important community initiatives. We work systematically to implement our strategy for a safe sports environment and listen to voices from the business to continuously improve our efforts.
SUSTAINABILITY – ENVIRONMENT
Our environmental work at Vasatorp is extensive and includes several initiatives to reduce our environmental impact. We have, among other things, electric car chargers in the parking lot, solar cells on the roof and robotic lawnmowers in parts of the facility. At our Pay & Play course Västra 9:an, we focus on creating flower meadows for pollinating insects, using environmentally friendly fertilization methods, recreating landscapes and managing the forest in a sustainable way. We have also built insect hotels and created sandbanks to promote biodiversity.
SUSTAINABILITY – ECONOMY
To ensure financial sustainability, we have implemented several energy measures that contribute to energy savings and smart energy choices. We have automated the range, which has resulted in both cost savings and efficiency improvements. We are actively working to increase revenue in various ways while ensuring good quality for members and guests. It is a balance between cost savings and being able to maintain high quality at the same time. By carefully planning and implementing our financial strategies, we strive to create a sustainable and successful business.
