Grand Opening April 14, 2024

It's that time of year again when the golf course welcomes us to a new season. This competition has a special place in our hearts – it's like a great kick-off to everything to come during the season.

Here is the community, the excitement and the fresh air. We know you've been dying to swing the club and feel the grass under your feet.

And as usual, you won't leave hungry!

After 9 holes, there is a mandatory break at the kiosk. Pär and the team have prepared something filling and delicious - a moment to enjoy together with other players.

The Grand Opening is not just a competition, it's an experience.

So don't miss this opportunity to be part of the community, while competing.

​After the registration period expires, we draw lots to determine which course (TC or Classic Course) the respective teams will play on.

GAME FORM
4-man Texas scramble hitting competition, at least 4 moves per player must be selected. 

All players tee off, then one of the tees is chosen and then the game continues in the same way until the ball is in the hole. 

All teams participate in two classes as below

  • Scratch class
  • HCP class (13% of total gaming handicap). The team cannot have a higher handicap than the handicap of the best player on the team.

​EXTRA COMPETITIONS
Nearest hole on all par-3 holes.

START TIMES
The competition is carried out with a floating start where the first ball/team goes out at 08:00. Early and late start requests are possible. Start list will be published no later than April 12 at 18:00.

RESTAURANT'S COMMITMENT
At the kiosk after 9 holes of play, there is a mandatory break of 15 minutes, where the restaurateur offers a pleasant experience.

GRAND FINAL July 26
​The two best teams gross and the two best teams net on each course are welcomed to the Grand Final on Sunday 26 July at the Tournament Course, where all participants are invited to dinner in connection with the award ceremony for this year's Grand Opening. 

FEES
Registration fee SEK 300 per player.
​Green fee for guest SEK 400.
Green fee for members of Vasatorp who do not have weekend playing rights on the TC/Classic Course SEK 300.
